Interview

Lil-E! What are you up to now?
Right now Hans Åhlund and I are in Umeå filming for the new Random Bastards movie BLUE BALLS.

How has the season been so far?
It’s been good, no big injuries yet so I’m happy.

Any plans for the rest of the season?
Keep on filming and just have a great time.. And I’m going to thailand for two weeks, drinking Chang beer and just relax.

Why did you start snowboarding?
We had this field trip with my school when I was 7 years old at the local hill, so I had to learn to ride something so I got a snowboard from my mom and dad. My dad drove me to the hill one week before and i learned to ride so then on the field trip I was ridin’ like a boaws! haha.

What makes it fun?
Riding with my friends from Random Bastards, and trying new kind of spots keeps it fresh.

What do you do when you’re not snowboarding?
I’m working as a road marker the whole summer. When I’m not working I’m skating mini ramp or just hanging with my friends/girlfriend.

You’re known for being like the nicest guy on the planet. Real friendly and helpful! And we agree. But do you ever get mad?
Hahaha, that’s nice to hear. But yes I get mad all the time and those how knows me know that I can be a real asshole when I’m angry, hehe. But I’m never angry for more then 5 minutes.

You’re also known for being a speed-demon, charging into big and weird urban spots with your best buddy “the grinch”. Why is that?
For me spot searching is a big part of snowboard. It’s awesome when you look at a spot and want to ride it a certain way and you set it all up and it works! When you got a winch like ours BLACK DANGER and a creative eye for spots it’s easy that the spots gets pretty weird sometimes. But that’s the kind of spots I like to ride, I get the most fun out of snowboarding in that way.

I know you’ve been traveling quite a bit. Do you have a favorite place in the world?
Kanchanaburi, Thailand.
Or home (I’m a homesick person)

Favourite place to snowboard?
UMEYOOOOO!

Finally, any tricks that keeps you sleepless at the moment?
Frontside invert…
