Wiberg shares a flat with Rolf Nylinder in Umeå, but has spent most of this season sleeping on a couch in Stockholm and filming for next years part. We won’t give too much away, but this guy is coming up big. He is already well known in Europe (choosen for “fresh meat” in MethodMag and so on) for his big bag of tricks and effortless style, but when his next years part will be released, then things will kick off for real, no joke..

Interview
What are you doing?
I’m playing Amped 2, trying to do fs 5:s stalefish like Kire. Other than that I’ve been in the big city of Stockholm for most of the season trying to film.
How’s it going so far?
It varies as hell… Sometimes you really don’t feel like riding and it sucks and sometimes it is like today. Sun and actually fun to go snowboarding.
You live with Rolf Nylinder in Umeå, how is he to live with?
We haven’t lived together for so long, but we are doing shared economy. It has gone well so far. It’s easy to all get along when both think that coffee, snus and snowboarding are the most important thing that a day can bring you.
If you’re ever talking about something other than snowboarding at home, what do you talk about then?
Mostly me trying to make him put away his damn guitar… But mostly snowboarding actually, or that we need to buy coffee or snus.
But for now you’re sleeping on Philip Grund’s couch in Uppsala, how is that working out for you?
I really can’t complain, freshly baked bread every morning (Philip lives at home with his parents). I really enjoy it here, better than with Rolf.
You are known to be a real trick-Nazi (not perfect = not a trick), comments on that?
It’s fun to see tricks that are properly executed. I won’t hate on some other peoples hawaii-tricks openly, but it’s not nice to spin 10 laps on a rail…
Any tricks you haven’t gotten yet (this season) that keeps you sleepless?
There is always lots of tricks that keeps me sleepless. But mostly it is tricks that I have, but that are ugly and that I need to do better. Backside 270 back is my white whale. I won’t ever catch it..
How is it to be on the Monokel-team?
It feels fucking great! It’s crazy fun to be part of a brand right from scratch. Hopefully get to see it grow each year and then take 10% of those who started the company.
Music is a big deal for you, anything you want to share?
Sure! Carnal malefactor with Deathspell Omega. It’s black metal that I listened to in high school and I love it still. I love the whole band actually. And Eskimo Blue Day with Jefferson Airplane, you won’t evr get tired of that one, or no, silver door with Dead Meadow!
